Risilience accelerates climate AI strategy with new CEO

Climate and nature analytics company Risilience appointed Angela Brown as its new chief executive officer as the firm moves to accelerate its investment in AI-driven climate risk analytics and sustainability solutions for global businesses.

According to AgFunderNews, Brown succeeds company founder Andrew Coburn, who will transition into the role of chairman while continuing to guide the company’s scientific and modeling strategy.

Founded in 2021 as a spinout from the Centre for Risk Studies at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Risilience develops tools that help companies measure and respond to the financial impacts of climate change, nature-related risks and supply chain disruption.

The company’s platform is designed for finance, sustainability and risk management teams seeking to evaluate how climate and macroeconomic volatility could affect business operations and long-term profitability.

Brown joined Risilience in early 2025 as chief product officer, where she helped shape the company’s product strategy and expand its AI initiatives. Before joining the company, she worked as Head of ESG Products at Moody’s and previously spent seven years at S&P Global, including as Product Lead for Global Risk Solutions at Capital IQ.

In her new role, Brown will oversee the company’s next stage of growth, with a focus on expanding AI-powered modeling and analytics capabilities.
